EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (Lead Paint)

Attention Painters, Window Installers, Electricians, Floor Companies, Plumbers and all trades that might do work that falls under the RRP rule.

Tarp-Rite is a Certified Firm and uses Certified Renovators to help you fully contain your jobsite and achieve your final Cleaning Verification test under the EPA’s new Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule about lead paint.

Complete dust containment is required under the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. “Containment” is a system of temporary barriers used to isolate a work area so that no dust or debris escapes while the renovation is being performed. Benefits of containment include the protection of residents and workers, the prevention of the spread of dust and debris to rest of house/building or neighboring properties and allowing for much easier cleaning at the end of the job.

Under the EPA’s new Renovation, Repair and Painting rule about lead paint, a Certified Renovator must conduct a Cleaning Verification before the work area can be accessed by the tenant/owner. Our Tarp-Rite employees are trained and certified to complete the full cleaning according to the new safety regulations and conduct the final Cleaning Verification.

EPA Certified Dust Containment and Cleaning Verification: Our TARP-Rite Certified Renovators will provide complete dust containment of the work area, install zipper door access and post proper warning signs. TARP-Rite will provide a full final cleaning service of all surfaces within the work area, according to the EPA’s standards and regulations. TARP-Rite will also conduct the final Cleaning Verification using the cleaning verification card. Final results will be documented and noted on final billing
